Electrical energy is produced by 7800 watts of solar photovoltaic cells, located on the south roof surfaces. The system features Building-Integrated (BIPV) solar roofing slates that don’t sacrifice aesthetics for function. Currently, the system uses top of the line grid-tie inverters. The planned installation of an additional battery back-up system, will give the system the capability to provide the home with electricity in the event of a grid outage and assure energy independence. The site and built-in infrastructure will allow electrical generating capacity to be added. |
